Resetting Backoffice Configuration
While developing Backoffice Application, it might be very useful to reset the configuration files to defaults. There are two ways to do it.
Application Orchestrator
Reset the widgets.xml file, which restores the Backoffice Application mashup that is defined in your source files (including widgets sockets, settings and connections)
- Press the F4 key.
- Expand the menu
in the upper right corner of the application. - Choose the >>Reset to Defaults button under Show widgets.xml
- The widgets configuration gets reset.
Reset the cockpit-config.xml file, which allows to restore the UI configuration of all widgets instances in your application
- Press the F4 key.
- Expand the menu
in the upper right corner of the application. - Choose the >>Reset to Defaults button under Show cockpit-config.xml
- The UI configuration gets reset.
Reset both widgets.xml and cockpit.config.xml files, which recovers widgets settings and application UI from your source files
- Press the F4 key.
- Expand the menu
in the upper right corner of the application. - Choose the Reset Everything button.
- The whole configuration gets reset.
SAP Commerce Administration Console
The second option is to reset Backoffice configuration file from the SAP Commerce Administration Console level.
This method of resetting the Backoffice configuration is possible owing to the following property located in the project.properties file, by default set to true:
